ABOUT Saddle Sore Riders, Inc.COWBOY UP
We, the Saddle Sore Riders,
are a group of horse enthusiasts who are dedicated to getting the backyard horse
out of the backyard. We are a non-profit organization whose funds received
from membership dues and events are used to keep the club activities running.
If you like to trail ride, we are the group for you. We are very active
and sponsor about 20 rides and 10 events a year. Our membership is near
400 and grows by the day. If you like to socialize and meet people in the
horse community, you will be happy as a Saddle Sore Rider. Most of our rides are in
town so if your horse lives in Norco you don’t need to trailer. However,
if you do need to trailer in, we will try to make accommodations for your rig. Food
and beverages are offered at most rides for your enjoyment. Besides our
in-town rides, we also host several out-of-town rides. Most of our rides are
one-day events, but we also have two long weekends at Pioneer Town, and one ten
day event and one long weekend, both at Heartbar. If you have never been
on a Saddle Sore Ride, you will be surprised to see how well organized these
events are staged. Most of our rides are well attended and sometimes have
over 200 horses and riders. We have organized many rides and consider your
safety and enjoyment a priority. Besides trail riding, we also ride in two parades, host Western Dances,a Christmas Dance, Adult Fun-Night, three events for the Norco Horseweek Committee, and a few more activities here and there. As you can see, our calendar is loaded with events and increases each year. Join Now!
Our monthly meetings are
held on the first Sunday of each month at 10 a.m. at the Norco American Legion
(Near the corner of 6th and Hamner. If you wish to join, you are not required to volunteer for any
work, but your help is appreciated. Members receive a packet that includes
a membership card, a calendar of events, the club by-laws, a club roster, and a
monthly newsletter that keeps you informed about past and up-coming events. If you wish to become active
in the horse community and make a lot of new friends, the Saddle Sore Riders is
the club for you. [Membership Request / Request for Information]
